Proved They Know Their Stuff
"We had a major breakdown with our VW Vanagon, and Bear’s was recommended for service. I am always anxious that shops that claim to know vanagons actually DO know vanagons (they are obsolete vehicles and require experienced vanagon mechanics for proper service). After a serious conversation about our concerns, problem, and course of action, Russ, the owner, had me convinced he knew his stuff. In the actual event, he proved it, and as painful as the diagnosis was, the service was excellent and the cost was reasonable. Robin at the front desk also knows vanagons and offered helpful suggestions, and was altogether a very pleasant person. I highly recommend this shop. They are good people."
